Following a referral from your GP or another doctor, an initial outpatient consultation will be arranged for you to see me. Your appointment will be scheduled based on the details of your referral and the urgency of your symptoms.
If you are self-referring, my clinic will take the necessary information from you before confirming your consultation.
During your appointment, I will review your medical history, discuss the reason for your referral and carry out a clinical examination in a private consulting room. A chaperone can be present during the examination if you wish. Together, we will then agree on the most appropriate next steps for your investigations or treatment.
If you have medical insurance, please contact your insurer before your consultation to obtain pre-authorisation. Once your appointment is confirmed, you will receive an email with all the necessary details to share with your insurer.

If you are seeking a second opinion, your case and previous medical records will be reviewed by our team. This may involve discussion at the Specialist Multidisciplinary Team Meeting (SMDT) to provide a comprehensive expert opinion.
The outcome of this review will be sent to your referring doctor, who will communicate the recommendations with you. In some cases, an additional appointment may not be necessary.
To ensure a thorough assessment, we will request any relevant clinical notes, imaging, scan reports, and histology results before the SMDT discussion.
